5 /5 Covert Shopper with Reviews: Sage Cafe has a whimsical atmosphere, friendly staff, and exquisite food prepared by a professional chef, who happens to be the owner. Christine, my server who has worked there over 20 years, was delightful. There was two wait staff, Christine being one of them, who served everyone in the restaurant along with handling the "to go" orders. I was impressed watching them. I ate a half order spinach with fruit salad topped with candied pecans that was very large, filling, and delicious, creamy potatoe salad mixed with a sour cream, greek yogurt and fresh dill, and chicken salad sandwich on toasted focatta bread. It was shredded well and tasted like it was mixed with the same dressing as the potatoes salad, and oh so creamy. Nothing else was added in the chicken salad, but it was served with lettuce leaf and tomatoes. They did not hold back on the portion size. I ate turtle cheesecake for dessert, also delicious and not too sweet. All of the food was very appealing to the eye and the restaurant was a cozy and beautiful, quant little place. I will definitely return when I have to return to the area. This location is near the Sherman Courthouse and during lunch hours you may have to search for parking and possibly walk a block, HOWEVER, it is definitely worth it. Go check them out and support small business!
