5 /5 Scott Rose: My wife and I came from Garland to Denton for an event. We had no idea what we were going to do for dinner, but we just randomly happened upon Queenies. Our server, Tori, was both eloquent and encyclopedic about the menu and the specials. Tori recommended the Brown Butter Old Fashioned to start and it was amazing. A classic drink with a clever twist with the butter. Tori talked us into the sliders with fois gras and I am so glad she did. Something so simple, executed so well that both of us were speechless while we finished them. My wife decided on the fried trout and I had the cheeseburger. Despite seeming like basic menu items, both dishes were elevated well beyond what you would expect. The trout was flaky and the batter was crispy without being greasy. The meat blend for the burger was incredible served with potatoes both crispy and creamy inside. Ken came to our table to check with us about a meal. We talked briefly, but his passion about the restaurant was obvious.
At the end, we were both so full we hadnt even considered dessert, but there was Tori, telling us all about the desserts, and we decided that if they were as good as everything else, we couldnt miss. We shared the butterscotch creme brulee and the tres leches cake. Absolutely magnificent, both.
Denton regulars probably already know what Im going to say, so if you want amazing food, with great staff and and top notch atmosphere, you must stop here.
