5 /5 Lake: Founded in the late 60s, walking into Outlaws is like stepping back in time. Massive hornets nests, and wild game, killed & stuffed half-a-century ago festoon the walls (and have since its opening). The memorabilia-laden wooden walls, and long-time staff welcome you in. But, the star is the BBQ. As a BBQ connoisseur, Ive traveled the state, exploring the best Texas has to offer. Im here to tell you, Outlaws has the best brisket in the state, especially when chopped, which allows their award-winning sauce to permeate the meat. A "chopped beef" sandwich at Outlaws is a culinary delight. Skip the ribs. Its not their strength. The BBQ is the star.

5 /5 Blynda Kellner: Just phenomenal. Loved the turkey, cheesy potato casserole & Mac n cheese. The bread was so fresh. The food was so flavorful. Friendly people. Everything top notch. Only complaint was I couldn’t eat it all, but really, really wanted to. I’m stuffed.

5 /5 Mike Beavers: This place is awesome! Staff explained how to order and it was different than what I have ever seen. The meat was wonderful and they even put effort into making the sides! Next time we are this way we will stop again!
