4 /5 Chris: I have mixed feelings about this place. Why does it have a Michelin star? I mean, the food was good, but was it Michelin-star good?
I tried a few dishes, such as the butter chicken, which was very good. We also ordered the Dum ki ribs, but we had to return the plate. The ribs were mostly fat, lacked meat, and the flavor just wasn’t there.
We tried the scallop ceviche, which was great, and the shrimp dish, which was my favorite. We also tried some street pani puri, but they were not that good. The rice was mediocre. We tried both the white rice and the onion cumin rice; both lacked flavor and were dry.
Now for the bad part: I loved the restaurant and the decorations, but I thought it was a little dirty. From the entrance, the floor mats were dirty, and our table was sticky. Also, the waiter needs to work on his hygiene—he smelled like cigarettes and had morning breath. It was hard to deal with that smell while eating supposedly Michelin-rated food.
I paid around $200 for the food. I didn’t think it was expensive, and I would definitely come back.
