5 /5 Daniel Stone: We ran out to Comanche, Texas, today to go to a local winery. Near the winery is a wonderful little Mexican food place. These guys make real authentic Mexican food, not like the watered-down Tex-Mex stuff you find all over Texas. Los Juans does it right. I ordered the Barbacoa. If you dont know what barbacoa is, it is cow head. The entire cow head is cooked in a pot with tongue and all. It was absolutely delicious! The meat was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The owner makes it a few times a week. He will also smake brisket on the weekend. Im looking forward to that. I love small family operated places. My mom and wife also enjoyed their food. They had tacos and chilerelleno. However, I feel that they could work on the interior of the restaurant. Its a little bit too eclectic. Overall, this is a great place where the owner loves what he does.
