LongHorn Steakhouse - Harlingen (TX)

4 /5 Justin Vosburg: I came for a nice dinner with my wife. The staff were friendly and the food was perfection. I like that its not that loud inside and you can talk to the person at the table and hear what theyre saying. Its not a rowdy busy atmosphere, but more relaxed and quiet. When my steak came, they didnt ask me to immediately cut into it to make sure its cooked as asked. BTW it was cooked medium to perfection. Drink refills came quickly. I would take my wife here again, but would not go with the kids as there is no kids menu. My one issue is that on the bill (for 2 people mind you) it had a mandatory $5 gratuity and below that was the optional tip slider with a percentage and dollar amount. The optional slider didnt factor in the $5 that was automatically added to the bill. I guess thats for people that dont tip so the waitress/waiter will get something. If youre going to mandate a $5 tip, factor that into the optional tipping. But its likely by design to make sure that when the non tippers and generous tippers are averaged out, the waitress/waiter will get a decent amount of take home pay.

1 /5 Mac C: Absolutely unacceptable. On my pregnant wife’s birthday, we waited over an hour to be seated. Her steak was overcooked, then after another 30 minutes, it came back undercooked. She ate nothing but bread. Management was aware and didn’t care. The general manager only came over when I questioned the bill—no apology, no empathy, just excuses about the system. Over $300 wasted, a special night ruined, and zero accountability. Worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Staff deserves better leadership.

5 /5 Kendall Baldwin: We had a family day here for lunch and the service was amazing. We have a 8 month baby and the server helped us get his food asap the food was amazing and very fast thank you for making our visit a great experience

5 /5 Christian Garza: The restaurant was nice and quiet with a great atmosphere, our wait staff had excellent response time and they were very courteous. They accommodated us when we had a birthday cake and provided extra plates and cutlery. The food was ordered and ready in what seemed like only a moment. It arrived hot and juicy, perfectly seasoned.

1 /5 Saida Cruz: I recently had a disappointing experience at LongHorn Steakhouse in Harlingen. I ordered a salad, but to my dismay, I found a hair in it. I politely asked for a replacement, which they provided. However, to my surprise, they still charged me for the original salad. I was shocked and frustrated by this decision. Finding a hair in my food was already a unpleasant experience, and being charged for it made it even worse. I expected better customer service and quality control from a reputable chain like LongHorn. Unfortunately, my experience left a sour taste, and I wouldnt recommend dining here. The food quality and service didnt meet my expectations, and I wont be back.
