2 /5 Brett Huston: I hate to slam a small joint like this, but I just did not have a good experience.
I ordered queso as an appetizer and then the fajita steak enchiladas for my meal. The queso was basically concession stand nacho cheese, yet it was surprisingly the best thing I had there other than my coke.
If you like salsa, this isn’t the place. It comes in bottle and you’re supposed to squirt it into a small bowl. It’s very watery and lacks flavor.
As for the the main meal: something in the enchiladas tasted like they were freezer bit and it was the most dominant flavor, which wasn’t great. The rice was rather bland, and the beans had a cardboard taste to them. I wasn’t able to finish my meal.
Maybe I came on a bad day. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. I would normally give a place a second chance, but this experience was just so lack luster that I don’t think I could talk myself into trying it again.
Salsa and enchiladas are staples, and they’re usually what a lot of people base their opinion on when they choose their favorite Mexican restaurants, and this place just fell flat with both of those items.
I’m sorry, just my honest review.
