Hunan Chinese Restaurant - Giddings (TX)

1 /5 Maria A: My plate stunk, could not eat it. First time dining here and would prefer HoaSon down the road 10x. Hardly any chicken & it just stunk. I ate some rice, unfortunately the smell of the meat part was just putrid. 3/10. Great soup though. Would not recommend this.

3 /5 Kevin Schkade: A few years prior to Covid, Hunans in Giddings had the best Chinese food in central Texas. Then, the ownership and/or management changed and the food is now just mediocre. The dining room has finally reopened now so I am hoping it will get back to what it once was.

1 /5 Shannon Cruz: Highly disappointed in our meals. Sweet and sour shrimp has the smallest shrimps possible in the thickest tempura. Fried rice was just steamed rice with soy sauce and a few pieces of egg. Beef with pepper sauce had a few bits of beef with 5x as much what I think was bamboo? No descriptions as to what youre getting on the menu. Everything had an odd taste. Egg rolls slightly filled and tasted old. Soup was good thats about it. Had to call a few times to get an answer and when speaking seemed annoyed. Will never choose to eat here again.

1 /5 Isabel Pacheco: Okay food, bad service. I felt like I was bothering them the way they acted when I got there to order. The Sesame Tofu was okay. Tofu is not crispy at all and it does not come with vegetables, even though it’s under the “vegetables” section. But the sauce was good. Good enough to fill me up but I’m never coming back here.
