1 /5 Sara Pena: I had high hopes when ordering the menudo, but unfortunately, it did not meet even the most basic expectations. The broth was unusually pale and lacked the rich, reddish hue typically associated with a well-made menudo. Visually, it was unappealing — and the taste reflected the same.
There was little to no flavor; the seasoning was minimal to nonexistent, and the dish as a whole felt unfinished. The tripe was tender, which I appreciated, but without any depth of flavor in the broth, it didn’t come together as it should. Menudo is a dish that should be comforting, bold, and satisfying — this was none of those things.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I believe honest feedback helps maintain quality. I hope improvements are made, because the potential is there, but this version missed the mark entirely.
