El Chin Chin - McAllen (TX)

3 /5 Liv Rmrz: Went to Chin Chin and it was an overall an okay experience. We ordered the pescado ceviche, shrimp cocktail, beef tacos, a michelada, and the mermaid drinks. The ceviche and shrimp cocktail were a little on the sweeter side, but the beef tacos were actually really good. They came with cheese and bacon. I ordered their traditional michelada, but I didn’t really enjoy it, I couldn’t quite put my finger on what was off for me. On the other hand, the mermaid drinks were really good and are definitely worth trying. The vibe was nice and chill, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Overall, I’d give this place a 3 out of 5. As always, I recommend everyone try it at least once and decide for themselves.

5 /5 Alexa Bocanegra: Pedro was amazing! And the food was even better! I’ve had seafood all over the world and at Michelin rated restaurants and this honestly is at par with all of them. So glad to see more restaurants like this in the RGV. Everything was fresh and so yummy

5 /5 Dulce Delgado: My husband heard everyone talking about this place at work, so we wanted to try it. The food is delicious. I was expecting a completely seafood-flavored experience, but I was surprised to find one taco had beans in it. It was delicious, but unexpected. The cocktails are delicious. The waitress who served us and the entire staff were so friendly. When we left, we didnt have cash for the valet parking person, so when you go, dont forget to bring cash for the person parking your car. Ahhh and I think its pet-friendly restaurant, if I remember correctly.

5 /5 K Santana: Food was fantastic!! Service was amazing and the drinks, OMG! The Coco Nuts and the Carajillo was my fave. Definitely want to come back and try more options. We shared about 6 different small plates between 3 people and it was perfect. Ask for Pedro. He was great!
