3 /5 cambria Leigh: I decided to give Claypot another try after being let down a couple of times in the past, especially since I saw they renovated and brought in new staff. I was hopeful going in, and we were seated immediately, which was a great start. I ordered the deluxe pho and my fiancé got the shaken beef. The pho was okay, I did enjoy the broth, but I found it odd that there were no side veggies served and no chopsticks provided. I’m assuming it’s just a more Americanized approach, which is fine. Unfortunately, my fiancé’s shaken beef was lacking flavor and tasted more like boiled meat or meat cooked with water kind of bland overall. We’re grateful for the food in front of us, so we ate everything. On a positive note, the pork egg rolls were nice and crispy, and the chrysanthemum hot tea was AMAZING hands down the highlight of the visit. If I came back, it would honestly be just to grab that tea to go. Maybe it was an off day, but for now, I still prefer other Vietnamese restaurants in the area.
