1 /5 Mike Cormier: I’ve loved Casa Olé since I was a teenager growing up in Pasadena, TX, and I always try to stop in for a meal whenever I’m visiting the area. On my last trip, I wasn’t able to visit a Houston location, so I stopped in Lufkin to get my Casa Olé fix and was looking forward to sharing the meal with my mother.
Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The meal was surprisingly bland, and even the green dip tasted watered down. I ordered the chicken fajita enchiladas, but what I received wasn’t chicken fajita meat—it was cubed chicken breast with a few grill marks. The meat was dry and lacked flavor, which isn’t what I’ve come to expect from Casa Olé.
I hope the restaurant can get the food quality back to the Casa Olé standards I’ve always enjoyed.
I do want to add that the restaurant was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. No complaints at all about the service—just the food itself.
