5 /5 Isac Kenney: Everything about this experience was a 10/10. I saw this was the number one BBQ spot in Texas Monthly and knew I had to make the drive to try it. Being an hour from Austin, got there around 8:15am and had about a dozen to 15 people in front of us for a Saturday. We met a few folks from San Antonio and became friends. That along with the cool indoor AC, Christmas tree for the cheery season and well organized flow of everything was a fantastic atmosphere.
The service from the staff was top tier, the chief to Chris to constant check-in from everyone, it was nothing shy of spectacular.
The food, mouth watering goodness. I haven’t had a better Mac and cheese of any variation of the BBQ spots I’ve tried so far in Texas. It was the best I’ve had. The Korean Beef Ribs stole the show for me too, moist, tender, and exceptionally amazing. They were the best I ever had as well. The brisket and sausage were phenomenal as well. The red velvet cake was sensational. They have a personal in house baker that makes the cakes from scratch and I must say, the cakes are not as sweet but that’s what it should taste like, not all loaded sugar and overwhelming sweetness. It was noticeably better tasting and loved every bit of it.
This place truly was well worth the wait and one of the best BBQ experiences all around I’ve had so far in Texas. 12/10 recommend.
