1 /5 Fabian Ramos: The moment I walked in i was not seated or attended to. I waited over 20 minutes at the bar area not one server attend to me they walked right by me as if I didnt exist . After waiting so long to place an order I walked to the front and asked the waitress to place an order but did not take my order but instead told me to wait I approached another waitress and finely when I told her I wanted to place a to go order she had a bad attitude. I had to wait another 30 minutes just to get my order the place wasnt even packed. Black Bear dinner please hire people who give good service and not have to be met with a horrible experience they are the face of the company and should make the customer feel at home.

4 /5 Debra Epperson: Only complaint I had is bruises on my advacado. But love the 3 egg omelet. My husbands pancake was real thick and he said it was good! We love that you can choose breakfast items for any meal! The pictures are from a different visit. The wait staff was very accommodating. When my husband let them know he was super light sensitive due to eye surgery, they quickly lowered the blinds and it definitely made our visit comfortable! They are also great about checking on you throughout the meal and quickly fixing an mistake on my order. Always love that we can get enough to fill us up!

3 /5 Frank Helms: I decided to try Black Bear Diner at this TA(Amarillo,TX) as I frequent this location regularly as a truck driver and enjoy trying new places. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the evening manager, Shay, who directed me to a seat but appeared disengaged and avoided eye contact, making the interaction unclear. Dana was my server, and she was outstanding in every aspect of customer service. Her professionalism and attentiveness completely changed the experience. Had it not been for Dana, I likely would have left based on prior negative reviews.

2 /5 Scott Payne: We went to this location the weekend after Christmas. It was semi busy but not too bad. When the server finally got to us for our drink order I asked for creamer with my coffee and my wife wanted her drink in a to go cup. About 5 mins later I get my coffee with no creamer and her drink was in a regular cup. Server replaced wife’s drink but didn’t bring me any creamer. We ordered our food, I got the volcano plate and she did the build your own order. 15 mins went by, the server came to us and asked if we ordered cause she forgot to put our order in. When we got the food was after we had been there for almost a hour. When we asked for creamer or extra napkins she didn’t get them and the wife went and got them herself. Server apologized. Food was barely warm and after going thru all of this we didn’t want to send it back. I was kinda expecting some discount maybe comp the drinks, but nothing we were charged full price. We live 2hrs away, we liked this location but not so much anymore. By the time we left it was 90 mins later.

5 /5 Teresa Parsons: This dinner is inside the TA truckstop in Amarillo and they have the friendliest servers. They are very attentive and get what you what you need. The food is good and you will definitely never go away hungry. We usually get a scambowl and share !
