4 /5 R Smith: Certainly needed a soul food restraurant in Crockett! Had the lunch special of the day - smothered baked chicken (Very tinder and tasty with the gravy), Mashed potatoes (of course with more gravy), Green Beans and cornbread. ($13.99 w/o drink - Somewhat competive to places close) Everything was cooked to perfection. Folks were friendly and welcoming. The only down part is that the some of the LUNCH specials (for ex: Oxtails) during the week are a bit expensive ($22.00 plus tax) for one person. That may be because Oxtails now a days are not cheap. At that price their lunch special meals are not close to being competive at amost double the price compared to for a great tasting cajun buffet lunch a 1/4 mile away. Bottom line? Good food...can be overly expensive depending of the day and the lunch special available.
