5 /5 Jon L Albee: Right in UT-Austins backyard is this gem of a liberal arts college that is everything UT-Austin isnt. The atmosphere here is intimate, the academic program is personalized, and the education is about critical thinking, synthesis and analysis rather than professional preparation. This is no far-flung locale. The college is in rapidly growing Georgetown, which is a bedroom community for Austin and is part of the Texas Hill Country. Its a small, beautiful campus of Hill Country limestone.
