Sandra Bocanegra We love this church! It’s a family oriented body of believers- they care & they’re genuine. Plus, the Pastors Tony & Tammy Holder are so amazing! Anointed, positive, always encouraging, unafraid to be honest with us too- all beneficial qualities. Children are a priority here- they’re loved, honored, taught God’s love & His Word. We began attending New Life LUFKIN Church on the Rock 2 years ago, after moving here from Austin, TX- & have no intention of leaving. We believe in being rooted & grounded & being involved in the Kingdom! LETS GO!!!

Brandi Butler On the front side you would feel impressed with the church, but dont be deceived. The pastors wife owns two daycares. I was up front with her about my concerns about my sons issues. I told her I was working on getting him help. I also explained my situation about running from my abusive ex and how we had just uprooted our whole life. My sons previous daycare never once called me to pick him up. Tammy holders facility called me once every week most weeks twice to get him. When I asked to meet with her she was to busy and I asked to switch him teachers. She shut me down. I asked my sister to help me talk to her a month later when this was still a problem again she was to busy and praising her teachers and spoke of my sons teacher as being the most patient and most experienced teacher she has. Well my neighbor whom is this teachers cousin said this teacher has no patience. Add the fact this teachers mother had been in the hospital in bad condition and I know she was in no mood to deal with 15 3 year olds. This woman kicked my son out because I wanted to meet and discuss options. Never even gave me the chance or worked with my son. Thats their position, but being a woman of Christ and a preacher wife at that....if thats what Christianity looks like I want no parts of it.

Tammy Miller I highly recommend this Non denomination, multi cultural church. Friendly, Welcoming, and amazing! The Holy Spirit is felt from the moment you cross through the doors! The free coffee, hospitality, friendly smiles are some of the things I look so forward to each week. Praise and worship is wonderful! Pastor Eric brings a wonderful message each week. I love that the pastor has great series that teach from the Bible yet we can apply it’s teachable learnings so it relates to our every day life. I love the out reach service projects we do for our community. Our church has great life groups, and Kids City is a Phenomenal Program our 5 years to 5th grade can participate in on Sunday morning in their service while mom and dad are in their service. We would love to have you come visit! I’m happy to save ya a seat!!!

Brittany Gillham My family loves City Church! There is a place for every age, my daughter is 9 and loves Jr. Serve Team. It shows little ones the importance of serving and loving on others. City Church is a great place. Lots of ways you can be apart of something special, growing in quality and quantity~!

Heidi Speaker I absolutely love this church. Pastor Jeremy gives great, healing messages focused on the Bible, Jesus, and growth minded principles. I love how he makes all his messages applicable to today and relevant to the challenges we face in real life. He keeps all his messages very engaging and enlightening! The people are so service-oriented and welcoming and so nice. They always have fun themes and photo ops and other amenities that make it feel top tier and keep church feeling fresh and fun! Amazing coffee bar, snacks, coffee shop and lounge area if you want a more quiet space to listen to the message and reflect on life. I love Jeremy’s non-judgmental, loving approach to Christianity. After coming from a high-demand religion, this church has been a breath of fresh air and so healing for my soul.

L A When Paul Washer says "the problem with Christianity today is its pastors," I completely get it. As a Christian whos looking for a more seasoned message, its entirely too difficult to find a church where the performative aspects of a message dont distract from the actual message of Christ. Where are the Charles Spurgeons of this generation? Where are the William Lane Craigs? This church looks no different from the culture -- scan this QR Code, use all these fun props to explain ideas I can easily recieve without them. Why are we dumbing this down in such an extreme way? Christians, this is not a business. Turn this cultural ship around and hold your leaders to account -- we should be converting the culture...not conforming to it. All that to say, the worship is very good and the community is kind and welcoming. However, for the reasons stated above, I will not be making this church my home church.

William Crouch In town visiting from Florida! Attended Sunday morning service! God blessed me in this service! God is moving in this church! Thank you to the Pastor along with everyone there that made me feel at home. There is love in this church! I will definitely return to visit this church and wonderful people during my next visit!

Deby Beran Attended a wedding, the pastor was humorous and fun, a nice relaxed vibe. The church is lovely and spacious. Also building a new sanctuary which looks even larger.

James Orcutt First the good. We recently attended a large funeral here, and we were very impressed with the message. So we decided to attend a service last weekend. The funeral speaker was the former pastor. There were 25 people attending the service, in a large church. It seems that this church is in a death spiral. We were very disappointed.
