Evelyn Badgett On the third Saturday in June 2024, I went to New Beginnings Church to donate moms nice clothing. I had carefully researched where I wanted to donate. I chose a resale shop that helps domestic violence victims; a church that did not sale clothes but gave them away; and a prominent dress for sucess establishment. I finally learned about and decided to donate to NBC because of its website and message about its donations/donors. As I drove up to donate, a man saw me but hurriedly shut the entrance door to the clothing donation area. So I drove around looking for the Big Red Bin but did not see it. I returned to the clothing donation door. I saw the man get into his pickup and leave. I left my car to confirm the operating hours posted on both the food pantry door and the clothing donation door were from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. I was there at 11:03 a.m. Needless to say I donated moms clothes elsewhere. The careless and selfish attitude of the NBC member/volunteer was not what I expected based on NBCs website. Just think if I had been a person in real need of food or clothes who arrived at 11:15 a.m. and no one was there to help. If volunteers cannot be committed, they should not participate. I have no plans to ever attend NBC based on this incident.

The pastor didn’t just preach—he spoke life. It wasn’t a performance or a lecture; it felt like a personal conversation between him and every heart in that room. There was honesty in his voice and a kind of divine clarity in his words that cut straight through the noise I had been carrying in my mind. I felt seen. I felt heard. I felt understood. Worship was powerful. It wasn’t just music—it was a space where people let go of burdens and picked up hope. Looking around, I saw tears, lifted hands, quiet prayers, and genuine expressions of faith. In that room, strangers became a family—connected not by background, but by belief. What stood out most, though, was how God’s presence wasn’t something you had to search for. It was already there, waiting. I left with more than a good impression—I left with a renewed spirit and a sense that God still speaks, still moves, and still meets people exactly where they are.

Brittany Vela Really sweet people we visited four different times they didn’t conversate with us too much but they were very friendly people warm smiles opened the door for us. Our two babies loved going and had so much fun in the baby/toddler class which is a pretty big deal for us personally. We have a busy schedule and only went when we could until we moved away.

Raquel Palacios I’ve been attending this church since October of 2024. God had my family in a season of transition from our old church. We had came across this church & there were specific prayers I had prayed for the Lord to give me the go on a church. Robert James Great pastor, outgoing youth group, and an amazing preschool Ministry. And everybody is real friendly and easy to approach . Its nice to go somewhere where people dont feel fake . Wednesday nights they have something thats called equipped which the younger kids learn how to properly serve within the church , actually get to learn how to run the light boards along with have opportunities do a shop class and cooking class along with a praise and worship team, I feel is amazing. I mean quite honestly what else could you ask for a church?
