Ben Thompson My wife and I spent the morning and afternoon in discussion with the pastor on a Wednesday. We are traveling through and didnt attend Sunday service. After our lengthy discussion about faith, life, and scripture, Im sorry we didnt have a chance to be here for the Sunday service. Great guy and man of faith! It was a pleasure speaking and spending time in the coffee shop attached to the church.

Van Horn is a tiny town, and this church speaks what mega-churches need and lack. Their facebook video uploads make it easy to listen too anywhere in the world. God bless.

Ted Jec During the pandemic many people including myself felt bad as church doors were closed... Church should be following Jesus teachings not some government not constitutional laws. The pandemic is over. The church is open and most of us are happy with it. After church I go to church in nature at Desert Gardens Oasis in Lobo. Everybody is welcome! We build large cross on the mountain in memory of Christopher Jones who was shot and killed in November, 2023. Join us in this great project. Amen!

Kari Turner We were very happy to be able to attend Mass here during our brief stay in Van Horn. The church is decorated beautifully and the priest and congregation are friendly. I was also happy to see a ramp to the main entrance; but it turned out to be a bit steep, and of limited effectiveness since there is still a small step to actually get through the church door. Few churches have any real commitment to accessibility so the effort was reassuring to see, but please reevaluate the ramping situation for true accessibility.

Edward Algreen We attended Sunday School and the morning worship service. The people were very friendly and accommodating. The music was awesome and the pastor and his preaching was also great! I would highly recommend this church if you visit the small town of Van Horne.

Sharon Bristow Not pleased with being told now twice that a member of my family cannot be married in this church. There is a lot of history with this church and my family. Terribly disappointed.

Larry Linson My wife and I received a blessing today as we visited FBC Van Horn. The congregation was very friendly and certainly made us feel welcome. The service was started by a young man reading a verse of Scripture signifying the centrality and the authority of God’s Word in this church. Worship in song certainly stirred our hearts and prepared us with a desire to know our Lord and Savior more, and had us in the anticipation to receive God’s Word. The pastor came up with the Bible and he gave an introduction to the message and read from Colossians 3. His exposition of the text was strait out of the text. He preached with passion and love. If you are reading this review and in the area, looking for a church home were you can grow in Christ. Please consider visiting this church. My wife and I are from out of state and has a family member who recently moved to Van Horn. We are thankful to have visited this church.

Dutcher Stephen Paul (Dutch) The Van Horn Christian Shelter "IS" one of a kind...where the Staff, and residents treat you like family if you conduct yourself in a manner consistent with respect. All meals are home cooked, showers are always clean, the living areas are always clean, you can have your laundry done with no charge, linen is always cleaned on a regular schedule. Clayton, who is in charge of running the shelter goes above and beyond the call of duty to make you feel welcome and will always treat you fairly and with respect as long as you conduct yourself properly. They will always try to help you in any way they can. A word of advise though, please "Do Not" take their kindness and generosity for weakness...."that"....will get you ejected faster than ...

Yasmin Rivera On a cross country road trip trying to move back home and I stopped in van horn to rest overnight. I passed this place before leaving and decided to stop by , really surprised and blessed they didn’t hesitate to help me and my daughter !! God sent.
