Kyle White At first I was very happy to shop in this little store. I found a nice necklace at a good price and took it home to my wife. She didn’t love it and I decided to try my luck on something else.
I hadn’t noticed the “no cash refunds” sign in the back of the store and didn’t think that meant that when returning an item the only options were exchange or store credit. When I asked about the policy it was explained that “they used to get a lot of people returning items and were losing money.” So they decided to put up the sign and start the policy. Which doesn’t make a lot of sense because after finally deciding on another piece of a lesser cost and getting them to agree to give me the difference in the necklaces they charged me a restocking fee. So if they had been doing that all along then I don’t see how they were losing money, rather they would have been making money on returns.
So after driving 6 hours to return a necklace I left with another necklace and instead of at least saving the difference between the two pieces I was charged for them putting it back in the cabinet.
I will not becoming back here as the reason I wanted to shop here in the first place was the belief that a small, family owned shop like this would put the customer first but I have had more compassionate service at department stores.
