Karen Ķing It is my church and I love it. We are always ministering to others in what ever way God uses us. We have attentive Pastors who support many efforts and needs. We have lots of Childrens services ongoing and have a self paced school available for preK to 12th grade. The kids get to do many things like any community school ie sports/music/drama/science fairs/ and church day on Wednesdays where they learn about Jesus and how to behave in church settings, but they learn at their own pace. We have some awesome teachers just ask their students.

Janssen Decker I attended Coastal for a year and a half and loved every second of it. Hands down the friendliest, and most Biblio Centric church Ive ever attended. Pastor Cherokee and his wife Melanie work hard to create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone that steps through the door. The church emphasizes discipleship and building each other up, holding each other accountable, and being on mission for Jesus. Pastor Cherokee uses expository preaching and does not shy away from hard passages but preaches Biblical truth with boldness and clarity. Their motto is "Bring in. Build up. Send out." They accomplish that through midweek small groups and hard-hitting Sunday morning classes.

Justin Little Padre island Baptist church is an awsome place to worship, and meet new people on sunday morning. The staff greets you with a warm welcome. They have a ministry for all ages from little kids, Youth group called the Revolution Student Ministry, to a Young Adult fellowship ministry, to Adult groups. Padre island Baptist church is like no other church. The staff, pastors are very nice and help full if their is anything you need to make your visit more enjoyable feel free to ask.

Ken Roelse We were in the Corpus Christi area visiting family, and looking for a church to attend. Since we regularly attend an Evangelical Free Church when at home, we looked for one here. Our visit found the people of the church to be warm and friendly. Pastor Dave is an expository minister, teaching direct from a chapter of the Bible. The message was very inspirational. We will attend here again when in the area.

Vasily Dmitrievsky This is a vibrant community of faith where the gospel is preached and the Bibie is taught. Worship music is authentic and sincere. There are two identical church services on Sunday at 9 am and 10.30 am. There are Bible studies for men, Sunday school for kids, as well as other activities. Visit this church to hear Gods Word preached and experience a genuine worship.

Brad OBrien We were in town for the Reach Global Crisis Response work over in Rockport. The church graciously hosted us. Great folks and solid "no surprises" theology. Which means just teaching solid truthful biblical orthodoxy (ie no rainbow flags, no gay deacon celebrations, marriage understood and proclaimed as it was in Genesis in the Garden). If you are "church shopping" this church or any similar church which hosts Awanas merits your investigation. It is likely growing and thus you may be tapped to step up and serve instead of merely amening it all from a once weekly pew visit

Danielle Bishop This body of believers is most friendly. My family has visited many churches in the area, and Believe has been one of the most welcoming. We came two Sundays in a row; the first Sunday there was a guest speaker, and their pastor was back on our next visit. Its always an encouraging thing when a church has members from within that are equipped to teach when the pastor is away as Believe does. Their worship team is very enthusiastic and passionate, as Im sure the other leadership is as well.

Giovanna Morales I was invited by a friend. Its a lovely church. I went on a day they were having food, some holiday I cant recall. Was very packed in the eating area. The message was good. The food was superb. People didnt really interact with me and thats a big thing for me. I personally wouldnt go back but I also would suggest it to a friend.

Sheila Kerls I feel I should disclose that Ive gone to Second Baptist for quite a while. People are friendly and glad to see new faces. Good teaching, both from the pulpit and in classes. Nursery, Sunday School for all ages, worship service for all ages (and nursery is available then). I would encourage you to visit. Posting this in December. So music and other Christmas celebration going on now. NOW adding in July. I moved to my daughter’s home (in another town), when my husband passed away. My daughter got pretty sick and I called the Second Baptist office to see if they would pray for her (yes, I did pray, too.)The staff remembered me, asked for the details, and said they would. I feel strongly that was a big factor in her getting well quickly. I hope to go back to Second Baptist, Corpus, even if for a short visit. (But hoping for longer.). Sheila again, couldn’t connect directly, so thought I would add on here..no real changes, but things still okay. Still waiting for Mike.. more later. manuel marino Stopped in for the first time. Message didnt have any real meat in it. I checked out their life groups and was hoping to see some kind of evangelism somewhere but was disappointed. They have a lot of stuff for all age groups, but it seems like a "feel glad you came" kind of church. I am going to go online and hopefully find more messages that are more fulfilling before I make a decision about how I truly feel about this church. This being my first time here and first impression, I feel like this is maybe a church for beginners.

R B We love the messages delivered here, however, would enjoy more of a pastor and less of a preacher. Every week, way too animated. Just be pastors for heaven’s sake. Also, this church has an awkward way of guilting everyone to give with a cheesy and non-genuine collection at the end of every service. It’s very uncomfortable. The most successful churches I have ever seen do no such thing.

Trulove Studios Southshore Christian church is one of the first churches I visited when looking for a new church home in Corpus Christi a few years ago. The members were all very friendly and inviting and Pastor Oscar Banks always brought a message that was meaningful and relevant. CASA (Christians against substance abuse) is a Christ centered alternative to AA where there is no doubt who your "higher power" is. Truly miss this congregation when were away.

Nikky Schroth My husband and I had a hard time finding a church that we both love. One that unashamedly and boldly teaches truth and is filled with the Holy Spirit. The Net truly understands that God inhabits the praises of his people. Worship is always my favorite but in some places, it feels dead not at The Net. They welcomed us with open arms from day one, when we aren’t in church they check on us, they’re involved in the local community and have many options for fellowship. The Bible says, “you shall know them by their fruits”, The Net displays peace, love joy and kindness while teaching the word of God.

Nicole Bailey I have been attending The Net with my family for about 3 years now. Prior to deciding that The Net is the place we’d call home, we visited multiple other churches in Corpus Christi. We thoroughly enjoy the relevant, current approach to the Sunday messages the Pastor takes. We also have seen our children grow in the word through their Sunday school lessons, and they enjoy seeing the friends they have created within this community of believers. I grew up Baptist and then Non-Denominational-and for me this is a church that beautifully balances traditional worship with a modern flair, and relevant sermons that connect the past and the present- both of which appeal to all age ranges, evidenced by the diverse congregation. We always are happy to tell everyone we attend The Net and encourage fellow believers looking for a place of community where The Lord is present and at the center, to give it a shot.
