1 /5 Minhal Zaidi: I had been getting my insurance set up through this agency for a while but when I got a job I contacted them to end my marketplace insurance. I spoke on the phone with someone who said they cancelled my market place insurance. I also emailed multiple times. Now, it’s tax season and I’m getting a hefty penalty. This agency is not responsive. The agents are not cancelling policies and making errors. Now that I am trying to get in touch with the agency, they are not responding. Would not recommend. There are better and more honest agencies out there.

I am totally indebted to them for all that they did for our insurance needs and took a load off my mind. God bless them for the services they provide. Will Wilson: They called me out of the blue, saying they were my agent and assisted with getting me a new insurance policy when my old one cancelled, and at a better rate... sounds great, right?? I get a letter 2 months later from the new insurance company saying my policy is being cancelled due to not receiving documentation/paperwork. I attempted to get ahold of my agent to find out why and through calls (being told I would receive a call back), text, and email I have yet to receive a response. I DID get a call from the insurance company themselves, rather than my agent, and they informed me that my AGENT had been sent numerous requests for various documentation and they NEVER RESPONDED! I am about to lose my current policy because this agent, Texan Insurance, has failed to respond to not only me but the actual insurance company the set me up with! Fortunately the insurance companys call is allowing me to try to provide the paperwork that my agent has failed to do. I cannot, with any good conscience, recommend this company if they are going to be the reason I lose the insurance policy they sold me. Update 5.20.25: I had to reach back out again, today, as I still received a notification of cancellation. Raina connected with me, listened to the entire telling of what happened and proceeded to work on the resolution, as I could not speak with the underwriter myself. She was able to ensure my paperwork was filed and that they stopped the cancellation. While in good conscience I cannot increase my rating from the initial 1 to a 5, there was a LOT of issue in between, I did increase it to 3 solely based on Rainas assistance to resolve the matter.

mark kuykendall: Not having a good experience. Needed to have a correction made to my policy and was told it would need to be rewritten. They took my money 3k on November 2nd. I haven’t received anything, no policy, nothing. Have called multiple times. Each time nothing happens. Now Im trying to cancel the policy. Was told I’d get a receipt yesterday. Haven’t seen anything yet. This may need to be reported. More later. Well, I must say I was wrong, everything has now been resolved. Much of this was due to my lack of experience in insurance matters. First Colony did their best to help me. I have my refund and I am grateful. I would recommend them.

He is knowledgable and willing to explain why certain coverages are important and why he recommends adding them. He will explain your policy and work with you to get the correct coverage for your needs. I also need to speak to him again soon because I have heard that Allstate has something new that could save me some money.
