1 /5 The B4: Owner is a know it all arrogant man. He purposely tried to disrespect me in front of my family. You ask this know it all a simple question and he chooses to forget why he is there. THE CUSTOMER. You will notice this man will never take ownership for his rude and arrogant behavior. This happened 2 months ago and I was hoping g it wouldn’t bother me but his behavior warrants this. A very successful man’s business philosophy was, “If you think the customer isn’t #1, think again”. VIK the jeweler apparently needs to think again. I’ll never recommend this business, the owner doesn’t need the money. Congratulations genius.

If you love shopping in a perfectly curated store that looks like Ralph Lauren put it together on his ranch somewhere, this is the spot for you! As soon as the house is done I will post pictures but for now I will share the dining room chairs I am in love with for sure! If you are driving through Johnson City or want to poke around a local spot be sure to pop in. You won’t be disappointed.

Tina Schwettmann: Im digging the new location on RR 12. Carolyn is just an awesome human. She was working on some beading when I arrived to do my usual record shopping. We chatted a while, and she helped me find some great LPs. I also found some gems in the bargain bin including Lena Horne, Edith Piaf and a musical tribute to Poe by Alan Parsons Project. I also found a John Prine, Laura Nyro, as well as a new pressing of Miles and Coltrane. Shes very knowledgeable regarding music, and prices her records fairly. Its rare that I spend less than an hour...theres just so much music. The listening station is a huge plus when you want to get a feel for a record or artist. Ill continue to return, as Fourth Rock is one of my favorites record stores. Period.

Sherry Gaible: James Avery never has a sale but they did offer a good deal on their charms. So, I gathered the three adopted granddaughters and had a shopping spree this hot afternoon. I have been coming up empty for their birthday and Christmas gifts the past year or so. Starting a charm bracelet or add on necklace is a great way for them to design their own gift. This JA store seems brand new, but the very personable and helpful store manager, Karen, said the store is actually five years old. Could have fooled me. We had Karen and her assistant Morgan"s full attention for a good part of the afternoon. The brilliantly lit glass cases, with sample charms, were so enticing, but the girls (11, 9 and 7) made wonderful decisions on their own. I hope this is a tradition that we can keep for years to come.
