5 /5 Dezert Dwellerz: Exceptional Tennant Rights Lawyer!
If you ever feel like there is absolutely nowhere else to turn when you are 100% in the right and being treated unfairly by Greedy Corporate Conglomerate Rental Agencies staff - affecting your credit and ability to lease again by negative reporting to credit agencies, look no further than The Alford Law Firm!!
I am a homeowner, but work on the road on long projects and have to rent properties and had an experience where I felt the stigmatism of being a tenant which is why I am writing this review if you too ever feel helpless but are in the right, to reach out to The Alford Law Firm whom will fight for you and win!
I had an 18 mo. rental on a home in the Humble area and renewed the lease for another 12 mo. I got word of the need to transfer me to another job site about 2 1/2 mo. from the end of my 12 mo. lease and put in a request for a 60 day move out notice to one of my many property managers assigned or changed on my property over the course of 2.5 yrs.
My inquiry was to see how much it would be to break the lease and provide feedback to my manager to determine which was best to go. The cost to break my lease 60 days early was far more than just paying the next 2 months + a few prorated days so I replied to my manager (ccd 3 of them in all emails) that I would not be moving out and rather fulfill my lease and paid my normal rent through the portal.
When the next months rent came due - the amount due in the app was more than 2x times the normal rent due $3900! I tried to pay my normal rent $1900 but the key application would not take my normal rent amount as it was less than what was incorrectly due. I was working nights at the time and could never get an explanation as to what the issue was so moved out on my move out date, disconnected utilities, cleaned everything very well and most importantly took lots of pictures! I figured Id pay my last months rent and let them keep the deposit to break even.
Well, what ended up happening is collections started sending me invoices for over $10k due and I tried several times to request an itemized breakdown of these extra charges and never could get an answer so I could pay last 2 months rent that I wasnt able to pay with their pay portal app and was told in email reply that this matter would no longer be discussed in emails and would need to be discussed over the phone dismissively.
Eventually, the Leasing Firm dropped a $9,800 claim to the credit agencies that I noticed when applying for an apartment on another recent job and I became extremely upset as this was an unfair credit reporting and is now affecting my life and livelihood!
Infuriated, I determined to seek a Tennant Rights Lawyer and am so grateful that I came across The Alford Law Firm! After sending all my emails, pictures, documentation - it became evident to Bruce that the leasing company treated my move out a breaking the lease and didnt update their system when I stated in writing in email that I would be fulfilling the lease.
Bruce was able to get the entire claim, in a matter of 4 weeks or so, dropped by the rental agencies lawyers as well as the bogus credit collection removed from all of my Credit reports!!
VICTORY IS SWEET!!! Thanks Alford Law Firm!
