1 /5 Melissa Myers: I was in banking for over 12 years and worked my way up from a teller to an assistant branch manager. Look at the picture. Not happy with the customer service from here. The branch manager refused to accept this money because it was "mutilated." According to the US Federal Reserve Bank in St. Louis, this money is not considered "mutilated" because "Mutilated currency, refers to a note that has been damaged so badly that 50% or less of it remains, or its condition is such that its value is questionable. "
I was given a printout to send the money via registered mail, return receipt request to the Dept of Treasury or the U.S. Mint and Id receive a replacement in 6-36 months.
In other words, they didnt want to have to take the money.
(Sarcasm) Thats some great customer service!
