Melonie Hanson: We were with EJ for 6 years. Our personalized rate of return over 5 years annualized was 2.05%. This quarter was 2.78%. All they push is American Funds. Then you choose low, medium, or high risk tolerance. They lack fiduciary responsibility and their fees and commissions are extremely high. Take your money and run to a real investment firm. Oh, and you pay an account termination fee on the way out of the door, currently $95.00 per account.
Ed Maher: Edward Jones charges high fees for advice that is designed to generate income for them. Contrary to the ad, you are better off doing it yourself. I lost over $10K due to Kevins bad advice. Go to Scottrade, they charge nothing for the same advice, they are honest, and they even give you money to open an account. I got $600. Plus my investments are doing better.
