2 /5 James D S: On the real you cant trust this bank. I just want to let everyone know Ive been with this bank for a long time, never once caused any problems what so ever. I want to give a big shout out to the lady Mrs Z that has done everything else besides helping me out. Its ok to not like some one or whatever is her problem she might have with me be but washing ur hands and trying to throw this issue under the table will not be tolerated!!!! As a consumer we have rights and you are not even trying to be a help. What did I do wrong nothing I did what I was told to do and point blank.... Prayers go out for you and your wrong behavior!!!! God needs to touch ur cold hearted

Latty M: UPDATE to previous review: I want to thank Jeff Byrnes and his staff (Downtown Mt. Vernon, TX Branch) for resolving the issue with my expired Bank Debit card. My husband and I had a nice chat with Jeff about our Bank concerns. He made sure that our issues were resolved before we left that day. We look forward to a smooth future with Alliance and now have someone we can go to for assistance with all our Banking concerns. WANT MY OLD BANK BACK! Disappointed in service of Alliance Bank that bought out our old bank. 1.Replacement for our Debit bank card was not mailed out in timely matter. Card is set to expire at end of month. Its already the 25th of the month and still have not received new card. Bank said it would be sent within 2 days before it was set to expire. This is not a good practice if you have several "auto pay" setups and need extra time to update several vendor accounts which takes time for their own processing to be completed. Now, I will need to make trip to main Bank branch to obtain new card and hopefully update all accounts before payments to vendors are rejected by outdated debit card information. 2.Problem with their Fraud dept as well. Purchase from Canada made on-line in Texas. Transaction cancelled without Bank contacting me first. When asked for explanation from Customer Service, they said that the fraud department cancelled transaction because the purchase was made with a company in Canada. They claimed they contacted me by phone around 4 am in the morning to discuss cancellation of money being sent from my account but I never received a phone call. Purchase had to be reordered by me. I appreciate the safeguarding of the Fraud dept but dont appreciate their saying they called me when they did not before cancelling my purchase. I also dont understand why a purchase I made on-line in Texas was cancelled just because the order came from Canada. No better explanation was given by Customer Service. NOT HAPPY!

Torey Williams: The staff is great. Kind. And attentative. However, the financial institution itself is lacking. I fought all kinds of hidden fees and extra return check charges even though money was clearly in the account. Like I said, good people. But unless you are OK with spending an additional 70 a month on random fees, I would bank elsewhere. Edit: I updated the review to two stars just for the sake of the staff. But thats all I can give. The staff was the only reason I banked with them for over three years. I went to another local bank that got me set up with an account that has no monthly fee. Free overdraft protection up to 300 dollars, they printed me a Debit card on the spot, and had me in and out within 15 minutes. Unlike prosperity where I had to wait for a card in the mail, paid monthly fees, and never would get the overdraft protection I had signed up for. The generic response from the owner about "hidden fees" just proved to me that they did not care whatsoever to lose my business and only confirmed that it was the correct decision to use a different bank. I hope in the future that they choose to look into this issue and correct it. I was scared to keep money in the bank because they would have all these ridiculous charges. I could not trust them with my money. All this to say Im a local, I work In our community, I spend most of my money in our city. A bank should take care of the members of the community they are in. Not take more money when somebody is already broke. Legal theft.
