The staff, particularly the personal trainers, is supportive, friendly, and positive. At 52 years old, and with a little help from my Facet Seven friends, Ive lost 115 pounds and am in better shape than I was at 20. Id recommend Facet Seven (either location) to anyone looking for a place to change their life.

5 /5 Colton Stanley: Facet Seven in East Downtown is an awesome gym with a great atmosphere and solid equipment. The best part, though, is the staff — especially the manager, Alisa. She’s incredibly helpful, welcoming, and always makes sure the gym is running smoothly. Whether you’re new or a regular, Alisa goes out of her way to make sure you feel supported. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a serious place to train with a great community vibe!

5 /5 Isabel Silva: This place is like home. From the moment you walk in everyone greets you and asks how you are, staff as well as the people working out. It is clean, it has various stations as well as free weights, and the girls’ restroom is a little girls’ cave, it has scrunchies, tampons, body spray, great lighting for pics, etc. I’ve personally been with Coach Jeraldine for about 6 years, she has molded me, pushed me and inspired me in sooo many ways. She had the patience to get me started, she gave me various alternatives when I was injured or pregnant throughout her workouts, and she will constantly check in on your progress or just in general. She genuinely cares and her booty class is a safe, judge free zone. All the girls are welcoming.

5 /5 Ricky Cardenas: Excellent gym near the Columbia Tap Bike Trail and Polk Street Bikeway! Very BIKE FRIENDLY with bike racks directly in front of the entrance for safe, secure viewing. Front desk is always helpful and coaches are friendly and knowledgeable. The gym usually has a good sized group of people in it but is never too crowded so you don’t have to wait on machines or stations.

If you’re looking for personal training, grouped training, or even group classes then this is your go to spot! I’ve had the pleasure of training with Korey! He’s been a trainer there even with the previous owners. He’s helped me achieve new goals and overcome wrist injury that I had. I didn’t think I would ever be able to lift as I used to after having 3 torn tendons and sure enough I’m lifting if not heavier. I love the vibes of the gym. It’s clean, the music is great, and it’s a great community with everyone that goes there. It feels like home for sure. So if you’re looking for a new home gym or you have some weight loss goals then RUN to Legacy Fitness!!!!

I did leave after my first visit and I had decided I wanted to start a membership, I had asked front desk to have membership services reach out to me, and I never received any contact. Amped Fitness (Westbury) - Houston

Russell Hemati: Pros: Excellent equipment selection with plenty of plate loaded and selectorized machines. Good variety of cable stacks, dumbbells over 100lbs, full size barbell racks, and lots of functional training options. Well-lit. Big, clean bathrooms, friendly staff, 24/7 access, private workout areas, sweat cinema, recovery area, and more. Cons: Cardio options are limited. Mostly bikes, stairmaster, and treadmills. That covers 95% of what people use, but its not as specialized as some places. There needs to be a weight tree over by the plate loaded isolation machines (currently you have to "borrow" plates from the hip sleds). Also, while the lighting is very good, I wouldnt call it "influencer grade" - for example, the dumbbell area has a lot of front lighting (which is great for the dumbbells, but not as good for social media physique pictures). One last safety note... The dedicated bench press area has no spotter arms or safeties. The benches DO have a place for spotters to stand, but nothing for a solo workout. There are other options if someone wants to go all out maximum with barbell bench by themselves: two Smith machines and 10 (yep, ten) full squat racks with spotter arms that can easily accommodate a bench. But inexperienced lifters may not realize this. An easy 5 stars for the price, location, and amenities offered.
