5 /5 Terry Garnica: My son wanted to try something new. He said, how about karate? I researched places he could go, including karate and Jiu Jitsu in my search, and messaged a few. Elite is the only place that got back to me, and quickly. The offered a free class. We went to check it out and he was so nervous. He wanted to leave because there were too many people and he was scared. He is autistic, so crowds and people are not comfortable for him. I encouraged him to “just watch.” The staff was so kind to him and let him make all the decisions about what he wanted and didn’t push him. After class, they introduced him to some of the other athletes to help ease his nerves. Because he didn’t go out on the mat the first day, they offered for him to come back the next day, free! I didn’t know how he would react if we brought him back, but we did and he did it! By the time we left, he was begging to go back again the next day, so we signed up! He did it! The second he stepped out there, he was hooked! The staff is wonderful!
