1 /5 Diego Leon: I would strongly advise anyone seeking immigration services to be cautious when considering Deandra Grant Law. My experience with this firm has been extremely disappointing and frustrating.
I engaged their services in March/April of 2024 and was immediately asked to pay $6,000 upfront for the processing of my I-130 and I-485 forms. I promptly made the payment and was assigned to Cathy, who seemed to be the paralegal in charge of my case. She assured me that she would contact me soon to move things forward. Unfortunately, I waited two months without hearing anything from her. Assuming the process was simply taking time, I didn’t push. However, after the long wait, I decided to call her. She finally got back to me with a list of required documents for both myself (the beneficiary) and my wife (the petitioner).
I sent over the documents as quickly as I could, but after another period of waiting, I had to follow up again. This time, Cathy asked for more documents, including pictures and letters from family members regarding our marriage. By September, she was asking for our passports, which seemed reasonable, but at this point, I was frustrated. These documents should have been requested from the start, especially since she was already aware of the details of our case. It felt like they were asking for information piecemeal, only to delay things further.
Then, although closing the case had been discussed, there had been no final decision from my side. Cathy mentioned that she would talk to the attorneys to explore the options, and that one of them would call me back. However, the case was closed without any further communication or resolution, leaving me with no progress to show for my $6,000 payment. She had also supposedly returned the money orders for the applications, but I never received them since November. I continued waiting for a call and, in late November, reached out again. Olivia informed me that Cathy was no longer with the firm, but assured me an attorney would return my call. I waited throughout the holiday season, and by the time January rolled around, I discovered that Cathy was no longer employed at the firm, and my case had been closed.
Not only had I lost the money, but I also lost access to my case portal, and despite multiple attempts to get in touch with the attorney, my calls were ignored. Olivia confirmed that the attorney had received my message, but there was no effort to resolve my case or respond to my concerns. The lack of communication, lack of progress, and the firm’s failure to fulfill their obligations left me feeling completely ignored.
Thanks for your response. However, I stand by my review and believe the issues raised should be addressed. You’ve had time to reply to reviews, but not to call me as promised? Your firm did not do what I asked, and I’ve been waiting for a follow-up call for months. Youre not truly sorry.
