Beaumont ,TX City Hall - Beaumont Dat Phan: I recently had an inspection at my business conducted by Dulce Rodriguez from the Water Utilities Quality Control department, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The inspector was rude, arrogant, and unwilling to provide any helpful guidance. Instead of fostering a cooperative and educational approach, the interaction felt unnecessarily hostile and unprofessional.
As a business owner in Beaumont, I expect city officials to treat the public with professionalism and respect. Inspections should be an opportunity to assist businesses in maintaining compliance, not a frustrating ordeal due to poor attitude. I have also brought this issue to the attention of city officials, including Mayor Roy West’s office, as I believe this is a matter that needs to be addressed to ensure better service and accountability.
I hope the city takes action to improve the conduct of its inspectors so that future interactions with business owners are more constructive and professional.
